The BBFC certify and regulate British films, (British Board of Film Classification).

Why are films regulated by certification?

Films are regulated by age certification as a way to categorise the characterisitcs which may not be suitable for some ages but appropriate for others.

What is the certificate for the lego movie? Why?

The lego movie is rated U because Contains mild fantasy violence and very mild language.

Tent-pole - A major motion picture which is expected to generate a major income for a studio. This can be redistributed and used to support and fund other releases. This tent pole supports the whole tent.

  2. Through releasing the lego movie first warner bros formed a tentpole structure and set up the franchise which they could develop and add new products to. With the funds produced from the lego movie they were able to release the lego movie game and workbooks and school supplies to further take the brand globally.
